Summer Sauteed Green Beans
Ingredients:
1 green onion sliced diagonally – for garnish
1 pound green beans
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 teaspoons sliced garlic
1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
Directions:
1. Finely slice the green onions on an angle. Set aside. Wash green beans under cold running water.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the beans and blanch until bright green, about 2 minutes. Shock in ice water then drain in a colander.
3. Heat a large pan over high heat. Add oil, then garlic and chili. Stir mixture around so it fries and gets fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the green beans and toss a couple of times to coat everything evenly. Season with sea salt and saute for a minute or so until the beans get a little caramelization.
4. Transfer to a large platter and garnish with green onions. Enjoy!
