Many people ask me as a personal chef “what is your favorite food?” My answer is never one dish or even just one type of food. Instead it is an assortment, a multiplicity if you will of foods from countries that tend to have a rich food culture. I like Italian, French, Spanish, Argentinean, Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese food just to name a few.
Well, it’s that time of the year again – the Holidays! Yes, that means playing host or hostess to all your family and friends. It means catering to their every need and culinary craving. As a personal chef, I know how difficult it can be to cater to so many different tastes when it comes to cooking.
Before heading to Washington DC this past month I knew I would be visiting historical monuments and memorials created for those who gave their lives to this beautiful country. However, I also knew I was going to visit some extraordinary restaurants.
I have now been writing this food article for one year and unfortunately many of you do not know my ethnicity or culinary influences. I was born in the United States but spent many years of my youth in Argentina which is where my family is from.
